B.C. Greens respond to old growth logging deferrals in Fairy Creek and Central Walbran
VICTORIA, B.C. - The province has approved the request by Huu-ay-aht, Ditidaht, and Pacheedaht First Nations to defer old-growth logging for two years in the Fairy Creek and the Central Walbran.
B.C. Greens table legislation to enable the regulation of counsellors and social workers
VICTORIA, B.C. – Today the B.C. Greens will introduce legislation to amend the Health Professions Act. The proposed amendments would allow for fuller regulation of counsellors, therapists, and social workers as part of a push for stronger social and mental health care in British Columbia by increasing public protection, accountability, and oversight.
B.C. NDP forestry announcement takes no action on old growth

This lack of leadership betrays the trust that people put in John Horgan and the NDP when they promised to protect old growth during the 2020 election,” said MLA Furstenau.
B.C. Greens call for emergency health response to drug toxicity crisis
VICTORIA, B.C. – Today, the B.C. Coroner reported at least 176 British Columbians died from illicit drug toxicity in April. The B.C. Greens are calling for immediate action and a new, depoliticized approach to the drug toxicity crisis.
