Mark Neufeld appointed B.C. Green Party Advocate for Youth and Intergenerational Equity

VICTORIA B.C. – Andrew Weaver, leader of the B.C. Green Party and MLA for Oak Bay-Gordon Head, has appointed Saanich South candidate Mark Neufeld as the party’s Advocate for Youth and Intergenerational Equity. Similar to the party’s other critic roles, Neufeld will be responsible for bringing forward critical perspectives on the government’s policies and gathering input for the party’s platform development in this issue area.

Sonia Furstenau named B.C. Green Deputy Leader, Adam Olsen named Provincial Campaign Chair

VICTORIA B.C. – Andrew Weaver, leader of the B.C. Green Party and MLA for Oak Bay-Gordon Head has named Cowichan Valley candidate Sonia Furstenau as one of the party’s two deputy leaders. Furstenau succeeds Saanich North and the Islands candidate Adam Olsen in this role, who Weaver has named Provincial Campaign Chair. Weaver has also appointed Furstenau as Environment Critic and Olsen as Intergovernmental Relations Critic.

Kim Darwin nominated as B.C. Greens candidate in Powell River-Sunshine Coast

SECHELT B.C. – The B.C. Green Party is pleased to announce the nomination of its candidate for Powell River-Sunshine Coast, Kim Darwin. Darwin is a businesswoman and president of the Sechelt and District Chamber of Commerce. She has also been active with the British Columbia and Canada Chambers of Commerce, and served as the B.C. Green Party Provincial Council secretary from 2014 to 2016.
