September 29, 2020

VICTORIA B.C. – The B.C. Green Party announced today that Kim Darwin is the party’s candidate in Powell River-Sunshine Coast.

"Kim is deeply passionate about her community and the issues that matter most to the people of Powell River-Sunshine Coast,” said Sonia Furstenau, Leader of the B.C. Greens. “She is highly accomplished in business and brings this important perspective to her thinking. I'm delighted to have her on the team as we put forth our plan to build a stronger, more sustainable province."

"I am thrilled to represent my community as the B.C. Green Party candidate and am honoured that so many people I know and respect asked me to be their voice in Victoria,” Darwin added. “The B.C. Greens have delivered on their commitment of doing politics differently than the other parties. Electing a B.C. Green MLA here in Powell River-Sunshine Coast and in constituencies across B.C. can send a clear message that British Columbians want a new approach for the new normal.”

Headshots will be uploaded to a Google Drive folder for media as they become available. Bios and local contact information for candidates will be available on the B.C. Green Party website at bcgreens.ca/candidates.

Ridings and their nominated candidates are listed on the party’s website at bcgreens.ca/nominations_2020. It will continue to be updated as more candidates are nominated.
