VICTORIA, B.C. – Following a judicial recount of the votes in West Vancouver-Sea to Sky, B.C. Green candidate Jeremy Valeriote has offered B.C. Liberal Jordan Sturdy his congratulations for winning a tight race. Valeriote finished with 9,189 votes (37.30%), just 60 votes short of Sturdy’s final results (9,249 votes or 37.54%).

VICTORIA B.C. – Following the count of remaining ballots, Elections B.C. announced today that B.C. Green Leader Sonia Furstenau has been re-elected as MLA for Cowichan Valley and Adam Olsen has been re-elected as MLA for Saanich North and the Islands. In the riding of West Vancouver-Sea to Sky, where B.C. Green candidate Jeremy Valeriote was projected to win, the results will automatically go to a judicial recount. Valeriote is 41 votes behind incumbent Jordan Sturdy of the B.C. Liberals.
