VICTORIA, B.C. – Adam Olsen, B.C. Green Party MLA for Saanich North and the Islands, released the following statement in support of the Moose Hide Campaign day of action.
"Today's day of action is a grassroots effort for men to voice their support, honour and respect for women and girls,” said Olsen.
“Women and girls continue to face inequity across all levels of our society, as well as all forms of gendered violence. This year, the #MeToo movement has brought the plague of sexual violence in our culture to mainstream attention. My caucus colleagues and I stand firm in our commitment to doing everything we can to make the world a safe, respectful and equitable place for women and girls to be who they are. We must individually and collectively examine our own place in the perpetuation of gender inequity and do our part to end it."
