Weaver releases B.C. Green Party transportation platform in Vancouver

VANCOUVER B.C. – Andrew Weaver, leader of the B.C. Green Party, released the party’s transportation platform today in Vancouver.

“British Columbians need investments in transportation to make their lives more affordable and convenient,” said Weaver. “Both the B.C. Liberals and the B.C. NDP have been playing politics with transportation, cynically holding doomed-to-fail referendums and slashing bridge tolls to pick up a few seats in swing ridings.

B.C. Greens Deputy Leader Sonia Furstenau condemns unregulated dumping in the Shawnigan Watershed

SHAWNIGAN LAKE B.C. – Sonia Furstenau, B.C. Green Party Environment Critic and candidate for the Cowichan Valley riding, will join the Save Shawnigan Water Community Action Group Research Team today for a press conference condemning the continued unregulated dumping of soil in the Shawnigan Watershed. The press conference will take place next to Van Horne Creek, where a landslide from a soil dump site on Stebbings Road has impacted the watercourse.
