VICTORIA B.C. – Andrew Weaver, leader of the BC Green Party, released the following statement following this morning’s News 1130/City TV Leadership Debate:
“I appreciate the opportunity to share with the people of British Columbia what the B.C. Greens offer them. The B.C. Greens are providing a fresh, evidence-based plan for our province. I think the debate showed that.
“We are community leaders, not career politicians. We are focused on offering a principled strategy to build the emerging economy instead of offering just another election strategy. Every single one of our candidates is committed to delivering change you can count on for their communities. As you have seen in our platform, our first question is always what can we do to support the health, wellbeing and prosperity of British Columbians.
“It’s time for a government you can trust to act on principle and put the needs of people first.”
