Volunteer phone bank

The BC Green Party campaign for ProRep is underway.

We need to reach as many people as possible to discuss the importance of this referendum.

Join the webinar at 6pm on Wednesday, September 12 to (1) learn more about the ProRep campaign and (2) try out our phone bank software.

You will need a computer or other device with internet access, where you will enter the data from your calls, AND either:

a) your phone, or

b) a good headset/microphone that works with the calling device. Phone earbuds with microphone are usually good enough, if compatible with the device you're using them on. Built-in laptop microphones are seldom good enough.

Please note: Connecting by phone is the easiest way to use the system, but your standard carrier rates apply. You should have unlimited INCOMING calls as part of your phone package. Though you are making calls, the software will make a call to you to connect.
It is also possible to connect via browser only. In this case, you should be connected to internet via modem (not cellular data) and have a quality microphone that works with your computer or tablet. We don't want volunteering to be an expense, but any charges you incur as a result of phone or data usage will not be covered by the BC Green Party.

Protecting your health

BC Greens recognize that airborne illnesses and pollutants pose a significant health risk to everyone, especially the young, elderly, and immunocompromised, while caregivers, healthcare professionals, and support staff come into regular contact with vulnerable persons. When choosing venues, BC Greens prioritize outdoor spaces, and indoor spaces with good ventilation. In closed indoor spaces, we encourage attendees to wear well-fitting masks (N95, KN95, or KF94), especially during the respiratory-illness season.

Creating safe spaces

The BC Green Party is committed to providing an environment free of discrimination and harassment, where all individuals are treated with respect and dignity, can contribute fully and have equal speaking opportunities. To support this commitment, all event attendees will be expected to follow the standards of our Safe Spaces Participant's Guide.
