Resources for staying safe - BC wildfires

As you know, BC is experiencing its worst wildfire season on record.

Wildfires have already destroyed parts of Kelowna and are threatening other communities across our province. Smoke from wildfires is also having a dangerous impact on air quality and people’s health.

Please prioritize personal health and safety.

It is critical that you follow evacuation orders and alerts from your local authorities.

To those of you who have been directly affected by the wildfires, you are in our minds and hearts. Please know we are doing everything we can to support the emergency response. We want to thank all the first responders, support staff, volunteers and others who are doing all they can to protect lives and communities.

For support such as accommodation, food, and clothing in an emergency situation, we have compiled a list of resources and services.

In the days to come, we will follow up with ways you can help support those directly affected by this crisis. In the meantime, please stay safe and, again,  follow all instructions from your local authorities.
