Hosted by the Saanich North & the Islands Greens, in an intimate setting someplace on the Saanich Peninsula or Southern Gulf Islands, Stories of Saanich will introduce you to amazing people and new ideas.

NICK CLAXTON - "to Fish as Formerly..."
Our first event will feature Nick Claxton. Nick is from the Tsawout Band of the W̱SÁNEĆ Nation. He is a PhD. Candidate in the Dept. of Curriculum and Instruction at the University of Victoria, where he also works in Indigenous Education as an Advisor and Program Coordinator. Nick is committed to revitalizing Indigenous knowledge and practices of the WSANEC people, and to inspire other First Nations to also revitalize their Indigenous Knowledge and practices.
