NORTH VANCOUVER B.C. – The B.C. Green Party is pleased to announce the nomination of its candidate for North Vancouver-Seymour, Joshua Johnson. Johnson was instrumental in student actions at Argyle Secondary School leading up to the 2014 teacher’s labour dispute.
“As a young person, I feel that my generation has the most at stake going into this election, and therefore feel it incumbent on me to take action,” said Johnson. “I am open to change, open to your ideas, and am excited to hear from as many voices as possible in the months ahead.”
“We are incredibly fortunate to have Joshua on our team,” added Andrew Weaver, leader of the B.C. Green Party. “He proves that young people in this province care about its future and want to be involved in the decisions that affect them most. Young people are one of the most important inspirations to me in my life and I am pleased to count Joshua among my colleagues.”
