Central Vancouver Island Leadership Round Table RSVP now

We are so fortunate to have three stellar candidates prepared to lead the Green Party of British Columbia into a challenging and exciting future.

Meet your candidates: Cam Brewer, Kim Darwin and Sonia Furstenau

You have received their communications, you have visited their websites, heard or read them in the media and online. But there is no substitute for being able to speak them as closely as we can get to Face-to-Face in these COVID times.

So, please join us and be prepared to listen, ask questions and discuss the issues that are important to your part of the Island and to BC.

Your Moderator

The Round Table will be moderated by the Vice-Chair of the Nanaimo BC Green Riding Association, Lex Dunn. A relative newcomer to Vancouver Island, Lex has a wealth of experience in political communications, both federal and provincial (Quebec, Ontario and Nova Scotia). He is fervent in believing that the Green Party is more of a movement than a typical political party which can embrace all British Columbians and Canadians.

Protecting your health

BC Greens recognize that airborne illnesses and pollutants pose a significant health risk to everyone, especially the young, elderly, and immunocompromised, while caregivers, healthcare professionals, and support staff come into regular contact with vulnerable persons. When choosing venues, BC Greens prioritize outdoor spaces, and indoor spaces with good ventilation. In closed indoor spaces, we encourage attendees to wear well-fitting masks (N95, KN95, or KF94), especially during the respiratory-illness season.

Creating safe spaces

The BC Green Party is committed to providing an environment free of discrimination and harassment, where all individuals are treated with respect and dignity, can contribute fully and have equal speaking opportunities. To support this commitment, all event attendees will be expected to follow the standards of our Safe Spaces Participant's Guide.
