LANGLEY B.C. – The B.C. Green Party is pleased to announce the nomination of its candidate for Langley East, Bill Masse. Masse worked for 30 years at the federal Department of Fisheries and Oceans. He was the Chief Fisheries Negotiator when he retired in 2004.
“I have decided to run as the B.C. Green candidate for East Langley,” said Masse. “I want to work for economic growth that respects the environment and leaves no one behind. Only the B.C. Green Party represents those ideals.”
Andrew Weaver, leader of the B.C. Green Party, welcomed Masse’s nomination.
“Bill brings extensive experience in environmental management to the B.C. Green Party team,” said Weaver. “His time as an economist and treaty negotiator with First Nations communities aptly prepare him for the hard work of representative the people of Langley East in the Legislature. I am delighted to have him on our team as we put forth a positive vision for B.C.’s future.”
