Accessing emergency support | If you are forced to evacuate your community due to a natural disaster, you may need help accessing basic resources such as lodging, food, and clothing. You can check eligibility requirements and register with Emergency Support Services (ESS) online.

Accessing community services | Visit 211 British Columbia or dial/text 2-1-1 to be connected with a Resource Navigator who will provide information about supports and services in your community for your situation, such as food banks, income assistance programs, mental health support and more. It’s free, confidential, available 24/7, 365 days a year, with interpretation available in over 240 languages and dialects.

Please check with local authorities and services before offering donations and support. Different communities will have different needs based on their circumstances and resources available.

Canadian Red Cross - BC and Yukon | Provides services such as emergency food and clothing, emergency lodging, reception and information, personal services and family reunification services.

United Way BC | Provide funding for housing, food assistance, trauma and mental health support, and more.

BC Search and Rescue Association | Volunteer group search and rescue services

BC SPCA | Provides emergency boarding and food for pets, reunification services, pet rescue, and more.
