Colonial holiday

Thanksgiving is a colonial celebration where white people give thanks for all their blessings that they have received because their British ancestors committed genocide against indiginous people and stole their land. I don't celebrate this colonial holiday.

Thanks for bringing this up, Wendy. I really appreciate you sharing why you don’t celebrate Thanksgiving.

Our play on words with #Thanks-4-giving seeks to celebrate the amazing people who make possible our work together as BC Greens. Those are the blessings we aim to celebrate this month.

Thanks again for your important comment!
