VICTORIA, B.C. – Andrew Weaver, leader of the B.C. Green Party, issued the following statement in regards to reports of numerous deaths as result of a van crash in Toronto, ON:
“I extend my sincere condolences to all those affected by this terrible tragedy in Toronto today,” said Weaver.
“Our hearts are breaking for those injured or killed, for the loved ones of the victims and for the people of Toronto. Violence has no place in Canadian society. Our caucus condemns the attack today in the strongest possible terms and remains committed to promoting a safe, inclusive society for all.”
