VICTORIA B.C. – Andrew Weaver, leader of the B.C. Green Party, released the following statement of best wishes to those celebrating Rosh Hashanah which begins tonight at sundown.
"The beginning of the new year of 5780 is a time to celebrate and reflect," Weaver said. "On behalf of the B.C. Green Party, it is a great privilege to express my best wishes of peace and joy to those celebrating Rosh Hashanah.
"On the ten-day journey to Yom Kippur, we hold the Jewish community in our hearts. May Rosh Hashanah and the Days of Awe bring you time for reflection, renewed faith, and hope for the future.
