Victoria Pride 2024

Join the BC Greens as we march in the 2024 Victoria Pride Parade! We encourage all volunteers to wear their BC Greens shirt, and as much rainbow/Pride colours in other ways. We will also have both BC Green shirts, and rainbow accessories available.

We will be meeting at our staging area on Chatham St (spot 105) between 10 - 10:30 am. If you're having a hard time finding our spot, please look for a staff/volunteer in a BC Green shirt as we'll have one out walking Chatham directing people. Please make sure you have arrived before 10:45am as the parade will start at 11am, and run for roughly 90 minutes.

Parade activities include: Walking, marching, cheering and dancing in the parade, carrying signs and banners, handing out (not throwing!) buttons and other items along the parade route, and keeping our group organized as we walk.

Please RSVP here if you'd like to participate in Victoria Pride with the BC Greens 🏳️‍🌈💚

Please remember a hat, water bottle, sunscreen, and proper walking shoes as it's likely to be very hot and the route is relatively long!

Protecting your health

BC Greens recognize that airborne illnesses and pollutants pose a significant health risk to everyone, especially the young, elderly, and immunocompromised, while caregivers, healthcare professionals, and support staff come into regular contact with vulnerable persons. When choosing venues, BC Greens prioritize outdoor spaces, and indoor spaces with good ventilation. In closed indoor spaces, we encourage attendees to wear well-fitting masks (N95, KN95, or KF94), especially during the respiratory-illness season.

Creating safe spaces

The BC Green Party is committed to providing an environment free of discrimination and harassment, where all individuals are treated with respect and dignity, can contribute fully and have equal speaking opportunities. To support this commitment, all event attendees will be expected to follow the standards of our Safe Spaces Participant's Guide.
