Taking Action on Justice and Equity in your Riding Association RSVP now

This 1.5 hour workshop is geared for individuals who have some understanding of JEDI concepts and are interested to learn how to apply them to create more equitable and inclusive environments. Some learnings that will be covered in this workshop include: 

  • Understanding why addressing JEDI is critical to success in politics and policymaking 
  • Recognizing barriers to participation in an RA for people of marginalized identities, and learning strategies to deconstruct these barriers and create more inclusive environments 
  • Understanding and applying principles of anti-oppression and decolonization in an RA Correcting mistakes and moving forward

BC Greens recognize that airborne illnesses and pollutants pose a significant health risk to everyone, especially the young, elderly, and immunocompromised, while caregivers, healthcare professionals, and support staff come into regular contact with vulnerable persons. When choosing venues, BC Greens prioritize outdoor spaces, and indoor spaces with good ventilation. In closed indoor spaces, we encourage attendees to wear well-fitting masks (N95, KN95, or KF94), especially during the respiratory-illness season.
