VICTORIA B.C. – B.C. Green Party MLAs Andrew Weaver, Sonia Furstenau and Adam Olsen are embarking on a province-wide tour to engage with British Columbians about the issues affecting them and their communities. The purpose of the Forums is to review the work done in the first year since the MLAs signed a Confidence and Supply Agreement to support the B.C. NDP minority government, and to gather input for the MLA’s work in the upcoming Fall legislative sitting.

VICTORIA B.C. – Andrew Weaver, leader of the B.C. Green Party, has responded to Premier Clark’s letter sent earlier today, which requests that he respond to questions regarding the construction of the Site C Dam.

SHAWNIGAN LAKE B.C. – Sonia Furstenau, B.C. Green Party Environment Critic and candidate for the Cowichan Valley riding, will join the Save Shawnigan Water Community Action Group Research Team today for a press conference condemning the continued unregulated dumping of soil in the Shawnigan Watershed. The press conference will take place next to Van Horne Creek, where a landslide from a soil dump site on Stebbings Road has impacted the watercourse.

VANCOUVER B.C. – Jerry Kroll, B.C. Green Party candidate for Vancouver-Mount Pleasant, will formally announce his candidacy tomorrow afternoon. Kroll is President and CEO of ElectraMeccanica Vehicles Corp, which will begin mass production of one-person electric commuter cars for delivery this year. Party leader Andrew Weaver and other Metro Vancouver candidates will be in attendance for his announcement.
