NEW WESTMINSTER B.C. – Sonia Furstenau, Leader of the B.C. Green Party, released the party’s full election platform today in New Westminster alongside a number of Lower Mainland candidates. 

VANCOUVER B.C. –Sonia Furstenau, Leader of the B.C. Greens, released the following statement regarding the B.C. NDP platform:

“There is no reason we needed to go to an election to implement these policies,” said Furstenau.

VANCOUVER B.C. – B.C. Green Leader Sonia Furstenau released her party’s plan to support young families. The plan includes universal early childhood education, support for stay-at-home parents with young children and policies to support flexible work arrangements.

Greens’ concern that government support to small businesses and the tourism industry is being delayed due to the snap election. B.C. Greens Leader Sonia Furstenau first raised these concerns at a press conference in Squamish on September 29.

NDP's LNG Canada fossil fuel project is factored in, emissions from oil and gas production will exceed the BC’s existing 2050 target by 160 per cent, even if all other emissions are reduced to zero by 2035.
