Statement on Anti-Bully Day

February 26th is Anti-Bullying Day and an opportunity for British Columbians to help draw attention to bullying and empower ourselves and others to say something when we see it.

Bullying is a serious problem. Not just in schools, but also in workplaces, on the internet, and even at home.  We, as a society, do not have to tolerate this. The BC Green Party encourages all British Columbians to have conversations about bullying  and how to end it.

Remember that bullying is a problem we can solve. Anti-Bullying Day is a not just a day to discuss bullying as a problem, but also is a day to discuss how we can be more supportive, encouraging, and inclusive as individuals!  This is something for all of us can do in leading by example.

This Wednesday and every day, join BC Greens in standing up against bullying and showing your support for a better British Columbia.

I once was a victim – However, now I use those experiences to quickly recognize bullying in all its forms and give it the attention it deserves – none.
