March 09, 2017

NORTH VANCOUVER B.C. – The B.C. Green Party is pleased to announce the nomination of its candidate for North Vancouver-Lonsdale, Richard Warrington. A former teacher, Warrington studied education and business in Denmark and taught school there for a number of years.

“The B.C. Greens have the most balanced approach to the challenges facing us today,” said Warrington. “I'm running to give voters a real choice in this election. There is a middle ground where business and labour interests can cooperate and work together. We can create a sustainable course for the economy and the environment. I want to raise the level of discussion in the Legislature so we can find rational solutions to the challenges we face.”

Andrew Weaver, leader of the B.C. Green Party, welcomed Warrington’s nomination.

“Richard is a wonderful candidate for North-Vancouver Lonsdale,” said Weaver. “He is insightful, intelligent and passionate about his community. His nuanced perspective on how a strong economy and good environmental policy can go hand-in-hand is a great asset and I am delighted to have him on our team.”
