People of all sexual orientations and gender identities are invited to walk together in a celebration of diversity so come out and show your Pride or your support for the LGBTQ+ community on July 5th!
The Green Party was the first party to support marriage equality, we continue to work to advance the rights of the LGBTQ+ community and recognize respect for diversity as one of the 6 core values of the Green movement. We are proud and excited to march in the Pride Parade and hope you’ll join us!
Wear green or pick up a T-Shirt and join in the fun! We’ll have union made organic cotton T-Shirts which were made in Canada with sustainable dyes available for sale for $15 or available to borrow for the parade.
The parade will start at Government and Pandora and go to MacDonald Park, where the Pride Festival will take place. We need to have our group all ready to go by 11:30am. At 11:00am, or shortly thereafter, check in with a volunteer wearing a Green Party T-Shirt standing outside of Nando’s at Government and Pandora who will be able to direct you to exactly where the Green group is assembling.
