Please join us to launch Pete Fry's campaign to represent East Vancouver in the Victoria Legislature.
As you may have heard, the upcoming federal election has triggered a provincial by-election as NDP MLA Jenny Kwan is quitting provincial politics to run for MP.
The by-election is expected to take place sometime in the next six months, and Pete Fry is kicking off his campaign this coming Friday, June 19 at the Emerald East Van Supper Club and Lounge, 555 Gore Ave. in Chinatown.
Please join Pete Fry, the Green team and special guests for cocktails and canapes, from 6:00-9:00pm, to launch Pete's campaign to be the next MLA for Vancouver-Mount Pleasant.
We'll have complimentary snacks and a no-host bar, and The Emerald has a full kitchen if you are hungry for something more substantial.
If you can't make the event but would like to get involved, help, or volunteer, please write to Pete Fry at [email protected].
If you would like to make a tax-deductable financial contribution, you can do so in person on the 19th. You can also donate online at http://greenparty.bc.ca/vmp, or call 1-888-473-3686 and mention that you would like to make a contribution to Pete Fry's campaign.
Any way you can help, helps — thank you!

Protecting your health
BC Greens recognize that airborne illnesses and pollutants pose a significant health risk to everyone, especially the young, elderly, and immunocompromised, while caregivers, healthcare professionals, and support staff come into regular contact with vulnerable persons. When choosing venues, BC Greens prioritize outdoor spaces, and indoor spaces with good ventilation. In closed indoor spaces, we encourage attendees to wear well-fitting masks (N95, KN95, or KF94), especially during the respiratory-illness season.
Creating safe spaces
The BC Green Party is committed to providing an environment free of discrimination and harassment, where all individuals are treated with respect and dignity, can contribute fully and have equal speaking opportunities. To support this commitment, all event attendees will be expected to follow the standards of our Safe Spaces Participant's Guide.
