Are you looking for ways to get involved with the BC Green Party? A great place to start is by joining your local Nanaimo-North Cowichan Riding Association.

We are hosting our annual general meeting on Sunday, Feb. 24 at the Saltair Community Centre from 2-4 PM.

The AGM gives you the opportunity to tell us about the issues that are important to you, and what you would like the party to focus on this year.

Cowichan Green Party MLA Sonia Furstenau will be speaking to the attendees with a look back on the current term in office. She will also touch on the path ahead for the party in the province and let us know the current topics the party is focusing on in the Legislature.

Federal Green Candidate for Nanaimo-Ladysmith, Paul Manly will also be present to speak about his federal campaign.

During the AGM we will also call for nominations for the executive board.

In order to participate in voting at the AGM, you must be a member of the party for a minimum of 30 days prior to the vote. Click here to renew or start your 1-year membership.

Please RSVP below if you are planning to attend.

Protecting your health

BC Greens recognize that airborne illnesses and pollutants pose a significant health risk to everyone, especially the young, elderly, and immunocompromised, while caregivers, healthcare professionals, and support staff come into regular contact with vulnerable persons. When choosing venues, BC Greens prioritize outdoor spaces, and indoor spaces with good ventilation. In closed indoor spaces, we encourage attendees to wear well-fitting masks (N95, KN95, or KF94), especially during the respiratory-illness season.

Creating safe spaces

The BC Green Party is committed to providing an environment free of discrimination and harassment, where all individuals are treated with respect and dignity, can contribute fully and have equal speaking opportunities. To support this commitment, all event attendees will be expected to follow the standards of our Safe Spaces Participant's Guide.
