Tim Binnema nominated as B.C. Greens candidate in Surrey-Fleetwood

SURREY B.C. – The B.C. Green Party is pleased to announce the nomination of its candidate for Surrey-Fleetwood, Tim Binnema. Binnema is a member of the Applied Science Technologies and Technicians of B.C. and is a Manager of Engineering in the chemical process industry.

Matt Toner unable to run for party in 2017 election

VANCOUVER B.C. – The B.C. Green Party regrets to announce today that Matt Toner will not be able to run as a candidate in the 2017 election as expected due to new family commitments. Toner will continue to serve as one of the party’s two deputy leaders, a role he has filled since January 2016.

Sue Moen nominated as B.C. Greens candidate in North Island

CAMPBELL RIVER B.C. – The B.C. Green Party is pleased to announce the nomination of its candidate for North Island, Sue Moen. Moen was previously the Executive Director at A Loving Spoonful in Vancouver and has seven years’ experience as a care-team volunteer in the AIDS community. She is currently a non-profit consultant and community worker with the street-engaged populations of Campbell River.

Dr. Alison Shaw nominated as B.C. Greens candidate in Kelowna-Lake Country

KELOWNA B.C. – The B.C. Green Party is pleased to announce the nomination of its candidate for Kelowna-Lake Country, Dr. Alison Shaw. Shaw was the first authorized researcher to explore how scientists and policymakers influence one another in the Nobel-Prize winning United Nations Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC). She founded FlipSide Sustainability, which applies cutting-edge research and pioneering tools to help public and private sector clients account for people and planet alongside budgets and profit.

Brendan Ralfs nominated as B.C. Greens candidate in Langford-Juan de Fuca

LANGFORD B.C. – The B.C. Green Party is pleased to announce the nomination of its candidate for Langford-Juan de Fuca, Brendan Ralfs. Ralfs is a provincial emergency manager on southern Vancouver Island, where he has helped communities respond to a broad array of weather-influenced emergencies, including floods, storms and drought.
