Kelowna Screening: Running on Climate

Running_on_Climate_poster_graphic.jpgJoin us on Monday, August 24th at 7pm at the Okanagan Mission Community Hall (4409 Lakeshore Road, Kelowna, BC) for an exclusive screening of the new documentary Running on Climate together with BC's first Green MLA, Andrew Weaver!

Running On Climate, by filmmaker Robert Alstead, looks at the lengths scientists will go to highlight the dangers of runaway climate change and the actions individuals can take to avert catastrophe. Its principle subject is Andrew Weaver, the internationally renowned climate scientist who took a run at provincial politics in 2013 and went on to become British Columbia's first elected Green MLA in Oak Bay-Gordon Head.

Running on Climate premiered at the Doxa Film Festival in Vancouver in April of this year, and has been screened in Nanaimo and Victoria as well. Now it is making its way to Kelowna for the first time.

The screening will be followed by a short discussion with Dr Andrew Weaver himself.

Tickets $10, payable in cash at the door.

When: Monday, August 24; Doors open at 6:30pm, film starts at 7pm.
