Join us on Saturday, October 28 at 10:00 for our Fall 2023 Adopt-A-Road cleanup!
The City of Kamloops' Adopt-A-Road program has been in existence since the 1980s. Volunteers help maintain the beautiful appearance of our community and our environment.
Our road is Hillside Drive between Kenna Cartwright Park and Dufferin Elementary school. We can extend the clean-up west from Kenna Cartwright Park if time allows.
What to Bring
-weather appropriate clothing
We will have all the rest of the equipment required including safety vests, garbage bags, disposable gloves and road signs, and will provide some snacks for all the volunteers!
All ages and abilities welcome!
If you are interested in volunteering, please register by Wednesday October 25 so we know how much food to bring.
We will meet at the Kenna Cartwright Park "Tower" parking area off of Hillside Drive.
Protecting your health
BC Greens recognize that airborne illnesses and pollutants pose a significant health risk to everyone, especially the young, elderly, and immunocompromised, while caregivers, healthcare professionals, and support staff come into regular contact with vulnerable persons. When choosing venues, BC Greens prioritize outdoor spaces, and indoor spaces with good ventilation. In closed indoor spaces, we encourage attendees to wear well-fitting masks (N95, KN95, or KF94), especially during the respiratory-illness season.
Creating safe spaces
The BC Green Party is committed to providing an environment free of discrimination and harassment, where all individuals are treated with respect and dignity, can contribute fully and have equal speaking opportunities. To support this commitment, all event attendees will be expected to follow the standards of our Safe Spaces Participant's Guide.
