B.C. Greens welcome Pharmacare investment

VICTORIA, B.C. - Sonia Furstenau, B.C. Green Party spokesperson for health, welcomed the government’s announcement that $105 million will be invested in Fair Pharmacare. The investment will eliminate or reduce deductibles for 240,000 B.C. families.

“The costs of prescription drugs prevents too many British Columbians from addressing treatable conditions, saddling them and our healthcare system with the effects of untreated illnesses down the road,” said Furstenau.

Supreme Court judge, retired or otherwise, to establish the scope for an independent inquiry into the 2012 Ministry of Health firings. As with others calling for an independent inquiry, the B.C. Green Party recognizes that there are still numerous unanswered questions that need to be addressed.
