Green Times - July 2013

Thank you for taking time to read the brand new version of our quarterly newsletter -  The Green Times.  Stay up to date with the BC Greens as we share current events, interesting topics, fun social occasions, opportunities to get involved, and updates from newly elected Green MLA, Dr. Andrew Weaver.  Here we go!

Update from Dr. Andrew Weaver: Scientist turned politician

It has been a privilege and an honour to serve the constituents of Oak Bay-Gordon

Fraser Valley: Jam in Jubilee

The BC Greens have a table every Thursday evening at Abbotsford’s Jam in Jubilee Park summer concert series and art market.  We’ll be hanging out under our big Green tent chatting with people and listening to music. It’s the perfect way to spend a Thursday summer evening. We always love to meet new people so feel free to drop by and say ‘Hi ‘, or even join us as a volunteer.

Farewell Rebecca!

We wanted to let you know that Rebecca Helps, BC Greens Executive Director for the past three years has moved on to other employment. Rebecca was hired as ED April 1, 2010 and was instrumental in establishing the information management, administrative and member communication systems that prepared the foundation for the Party’s success in the 2013 election. On behalf of our members, we want to thank Rebecca for her service and we wish her well in her new role as Office Manager in a small boutique financial services firm.

For the time being, the ED’s duties are being shared between Party Organizer Victoria Cross and Party Chair Mike Hickey.
