SHAWNIGAN LAKE B.C. – Sonia Furstenau responded to a new report that shows that the ongoing geotechnical issues and cost overruns were flagged as early as May 2019. The project is currently under review and it is uncertain whether the geotechnical issues can be resolved. 

Furstenau statement on NDP wild salmon announcement

DUNCAN B.C. – Sonia Furstenau, leader of the B.C. Greens, released the following statement in response to the NDP’s announcement that they would double funding for the BC Salmon Restoration and Innovation fund:

"The initial funding for the B.C. Salmon Restoration and Innovation Fund came out of work that my colleague Adam Olsen did and I'm glad to see the NDP promise to commit more resources to it,” said Furstenau.
