Provincial council nominees need to gather at least 25 members* signatures to officially endorse their candidacy. This will be completed through an online form between Thursday, September 16 starting at 1 pm and Friday, September 24 at 5 pm.
An endorsement from a party member indicates that the party member agrees to have an applicant’s name on the ballot for a specific party position. It does not mean that the member intends to vote for the applicant.
Endorsements take place online only. Names of endorsers are confidential. They are tracked internally only to confirm their membership status. Applicants will not be supplied with a list of members who have endorsed them.
An email will be sent to all members asking them to familiarize themselves with the applicants and to endorse them for nomination within the endorsement period. Applicants are strongly encouraged to sign up new members and to remind their contacts within the party to endorse them for nomination. Applicants who do not receive at least 25 endorsements from members of the BC Green Party have not been successfully nominated and will not be included on the ballot.
*Good standing means your dues are current and not in arrears.

Protecting your health
BC Greens recognize that airborne illnesses and pollutants pose a significant health risk to everyone, especially the young, elderly, and immunocompromised, while caregivers, healthcare professionals, and support staff come into regular contact with vulnerable persons. When choosing venues, BC Greens prioritize outdoor spaces, and indoor spaces with good ventilation. In closed indoor spaces, we encourage attendees to wear well-fitting masks (N95, KN95, or KF94), especially during the respiratory-illness season.
Creating safe spaces
The BC Green Party is committed to providing an environment free of discrimination and harassment, where all individuals are treated with respect and dignity, can contribute fully and have equal speaking opportunities. To support this commitment, all event attendees will be expected to follow the standards of our Safe Spaces Participant's Guide.
