Dana Taylor nominated as B.C. Greens candidate in West Vancouver-Sea to Sky

March 14, 2017

WEST VANCOUVER B.C. – The B.C. Green Party is pleased to announce the nomination of its candidate for West Vancouver-Sea to Sky, Dana Taylor. Taylor is a former two-term city councillor in North Vancouver and is currently Executive Vice President of the Mechanical Contractors Association of B.C.

“The political choices in B.C. have been too narrow for too long,” said Taylor. “I believe that riding constituents will embrace an MLA who will work to accelerate the development of a diversified and resilient economy.”

Andrew Weaver, leader of the B.C. Green Party, welcomed Taylor’s nomination.

“Dana understands how the environment and the economy can go hand-in-hand in B.C.,” added Weaver. “He founded the first and only Green Chamber of Commerce in Canada and has a long history of community service and as an executive for trade associations. This gives him a unique perspective on how supporting sustainable enterprises and good-paying jobs can lead to long-term economic growth as well as a healthy environment. He is very passionate about his community and would be a fantastic representative for West Vancouver-Sea to Sky.”
