The BC Green caucus has agreed to support the stability of a BC NDP minority government by pledging to vote with them on confidence motions, typically budgets and throne speeches which occur approximately twice a year. On all other issues, the BC Green caucus will vote on an issue-by-issue basis.
The two caucuses have both agreed to work with each other based on the principle of "good faith and no surprises" in order to maintain the agreement. This principle has founded successful governments in places like New Zealand and Scotland. The caucuses have also agreed to consult extensively with one another and work collaboratively to advance a wide range of shared policy priorities that are outlined in the agreement.
The Confidence and Supply Agreement is a public document. We encourage anyone interested in the details to read it.
