This training day is designed to cover the basics of campaigning for current or future: volunteers, campaign team leaders or candidates. If you have any interest at all in being involved in future campaigns, this day will be a great introduction about what to expect.
Topics covered will include:
- A General Campaign Overview
- Volunteer Recruitment
- Planning and running a canvass
- Planning and running a simple event
If you are a veteran of many campaigns or a couple high-capacity campaigns, you may find the content of this session fairly introductory.
If you have purchased an in-person or online convention ticket and want to attend this training day your ticket will be discounted by $10.
If you are interested in attending, and the ticket cost is a barrier, please email [email protected].
Meals are not included in the ticket price, and masks will be required.
The primary facilitator of the training day session will be the BC Green Party Field Director Robert Routledge.
Protecting your health
BC Greens recognize that airborne illnesses and pollutants pose a significant health risk to everyone, especially the young, elderly, and immunocompromised, while caregivers, healthcare professionals, and support staff come into regular contact with vulnerable persons. When choosing venues, BC Greens prioritize outdoor spaces, and indoor spaces with good ventilation. In closed indoor spaces, we encourage attendees to wear well-fitting masks (N95, KN95, or KF94), especially during the respiratory-illness season.
Creating safe spaces
The BC Green Party is committed to providing an environment free of discrimination and harassment, where all individuals are treated with respect and dignity, can contribute fully and have equal speaking opportunities. To support this commitment, all event attendees will be expected to follow the standards of our Safe Spaces Participant's Guide.
