VICTORIA B.C. – The B.C. Green Party released its first televised provincial campaign ad today. The ad is running across the province.
“I am delighted to launch our first televised campaign ad,” said Andrew Weaver, leader of the B.C. Green Party. “Since banning corporate and union donations, we have seen historic levels of support. We have welcomed over 3,000 new individual donors to our party since September. This has allowed us to tell even more British Columbians about our positive vision for the future of B.C. I look forward to talking with more British Columbians across the province about how the B.C. Greens can provide change you can count on.”
In addition to the televised ad, the party is enlisting data-driven campaign tools, such as focus groups and polling, and has 15 full-time paid campaign staff and a campaign bus that it is using to reach out to communities across B.C. According to the latest Mainstreet Research poll, the B.C. Green Party leading on Vancouver Island at 37%. The party has also surged 9 points since March to an historic 22% support across British Columbia and is now just 12 points behind the governing B.C. Liberals.
