B.C. Green Party breaks fundraising records again

November 03, 2021

VICTORIA B.C. – The B.C. Green Party raised $185,000 in the third quarter of 2021, continuing to break fundraising records. The party broke its all-time non-election fundraising records for July and August, while nearly tying its record for September. This follows similar records set in January, March, April, May, and June. The quarterly figures for each political party were released today by Elections B.C..

“I’m humbled by the continuing generosity of our supporters,” Leader Sonia Furstenau said. “This year hasn’t been easy for many people, yet British Columbians are still finding ways to support our efforts. These contributions are funding our critical work to bring forward solutions on housing, climate action, human rights, and mental healthcare - solutions oriented towards the health and wellbeing of people, communities, and the environment. Together, we are demonstrating what caring, courageous leadership can achieve. I am grateful for the incredible support.”

“We have big goals for our province, and it is extremely heartening to see that so many British Columbians believe in us to make it happen”, executive director Jonina Campbell added. “While we only have two MLAs, they are some of the hardest-working people I know. Their commitment to this province is matched only by the generosity of our supporters.”
