Get involved! Apply now to become a Regional Rep

Why should I apply?

Ever wanted to get more involved with the BC Greens?

Now's your chance to become a Regional Representative. As a Regional Rep, you'll take a leadership role by supporting Green communities throughout your region. You'll work with me, the Director of Community Engagement, to make sure Riding Associations in your region are ready for the 2017 provincial election. You'll be an instrumental part of helping your community elect Green MLAs, and you'll have a whole lot of fun doing it.

What is a Regional Rep?

Regional Reps are elected to hold governance roles with the Party. They connect Riding Associations in each region of BC to the Provincial Council. Regional Reps are not political organizers, but they ensure that our political organizers can be successful. They provide the Party with critical information to bolster capacity in Riding Associations, making sure that our lines of communication are open, efficient, and productive.

How does it work?

Regional Reps sit on Provincial Council to serve as links between their regions and Provincial Council. They receive support from the Director of Community Engagement, who assists them in sending out information to the regions. Each Regional Rep's contact information will be available on the website so that people can reach out to her or him for information or to raise a concern.

You should apply if you

  • are interested in supporting regional development
  • can communicate effectively
  • have the skills to participate constructively in Provincial Council meetings
  • are willing to help as needed
  • want to be a part of making history in BC
