Alex Pope nominated as B.C. Greens candidate in Maple Ridge-Pitt Meadows

February 10, 2017

MAPLE RIDGE B.C. – The B.C. Green Party is pleased to announce the nomination of its candidate for Maple Ridge-Pitt Meadows, Alex Pope. Pope is a computer programmer and analyst primarily working in the financial sector.

“I see an opportunity to improve standards of living for all B.C. residents by investing in clean technology and making choices that are more respectful of the environment,” says Pope. “I also see our current government putting that at risk by accumulating large amounts of debt and making investment choices that do not consider the impact on the environment, or long-term cost effectiveness. I want to be a part of the movement to make better choices for our future, and our kids’ futures.”

“Alex is a fantastic candidate for Maple Ridge-Pitt Meadows,” adds Andrew Weaver, leader of the B.C. Green Party. “He has a long history of supporting his local community and working towards substantial change.”
