I’m running with the B.C. Greens because I am a passionately conservative individual. As a tech sector veteran, I work to conserve an innovation-driven economy that creates wealth for future as well as current generations. As a father and grandfather, I work to conserve the environmental resources and responsible governance that make a high standard of life possible.
In 2012, the B.C. Greens’ then-leader Jane Sterk saw my Twitter bio, which read (and still reads): “Sustainable community = a Fiscal Conservative + some Liberal Social tendencies + Responsible Environmentalism. Supporter of good business.” She told me to check out the B.C. Green Party’s 6 core principles, and I discovered, to my amazement, that a truly conservative vote meant voting Green. She recruited me to run in the 2013 Provincial election and I have been a champion of the Greens in the Fraser Valley and beyond ever since. I have run in three civic elections and registered the Abbotsford Greens as a new civic political party. I currently serve as the B.C. Green’s Treasurer, where my entrepreneurial background allows me to support the effective operations of a party that truly means business.
