Sonia is a mother, teacher and community advocate. First elected to office as a Director for the Cowichan Valley Regional District in 2014, Sonia then went on to become the MLA for Cowichan Valley in 2017, and leader of the BC Green Party in 2020.
Sonia believes that the government's job is ultimately about supporting British Columbians' health and wellbeing. The healthcare crisis, housing crisis, climate change, along with many other issues, are challenges that can be overcome when we come together for the greater good.
