Esquimalt-Royal Roads AGM & Summer Picnic RSVP now

Let's celebrate summer and the rise of Greens in BC politics!

Join the outgoing Board of the Esquimalt-Royal Roads Green Party Constituency Association for a family-friendly picnic at Gorge Kinsmen Park.

We will meet at 6pm and organize ourselves with regards to food and what the kids are doing (soccer? playground?).

Updated August 7: Due to vacation schedules we're not able to hold the AGM part of things tonight. Come for the picnic and meet new people! Then the "grown-ups" will hold a quick AGM for the constituency association.

On the agenda:

  • President's Report
  • Financial Agent's Report
  • Candidate's Report
  • Nomination of new Board for the CA (President, Treasurer, Secretary, Two or more Directors at Large)
  • Elections for the CA
  • WE EAT!!

Please note that only members of the Green Party of BC in good standing who reside within the Esquimalt-Royal Roads electoral area are eligible to vote for board directors, although any member may stand for election to the board. If you need to join, confirm or renew your membership please do so on the Green Party of BC's website. You must have joined the party at least 2 weeks prior to the meeting to be eligible to vote for board directors.

ANYONE is welcome to join us for this picnic - you do not have to be a member of the Green Party. Come and check it out!

The park is near the Tillicum Bridge, on the Esquimalt side. There is plenty of free parking but remember to lock your cars. Signs and balloons will indicate our location in the park.

Protecting your health

BC Greens recognize that airborne illnesses and pollutants pose a significant health risk to everyone, especially the young, elderly, and immunocompromised, while caregivers, healthcare professionals, and support staff come into regular contact with vulnerable persons. When choosing venues, BC Greens prioritize outdoor spaces, and indoor spaces with good ventilation. In closed indoor spaces, we encourage attendees to wear well-fitting masks (N95, KN95, or KF94), especially during the respiratory-illness season.

Creating safe spaces

The BC Green Party is committed to providing an environment free of discrimination and harassment, where all individuals are treated with respect and dignity, can contribute fully and have equal speaking opportunities. To support this commitment, all event attendees will be expected to follow the standards of our Safe Spaces Participant's Guide.
