BC Greens South Vancouver Island Summer Picnic RSVP now

Before summer is gone, we’ve decided to hold a casual get together and picnic in North Saanich on a property that features beautiful views, a garden, an outdoor kitchen and a small amphitheatre.

Why it's worth your while to come

  • Food – We’ll be grilling organic salmon, chicken and veggie burgers, plus salads and other treats.
  • Friends – Reconnect with other Greens and help plan for the fall events and outreach activities.
  • Fun – Bring the whole family. We’ll have some live music, bocce ball and activities for kids.

Have time to volunteer to help organize, contribute some food or have some hidden talents you would like to share on the stage? Please let Rita know at [email protected].

Please park and enter the property from Norris Road, directly below Downey Road. Watch for the signs with directions.

Also look for us at the Saanich Fair on the Labour Day long weekend. Stop by our booth and say hello!

Parking
Although the property is on Downie Road, please park behind it on Norris Road. Here's a map.

Entrance
Please come in through the gate on Norris Road where the cars can park. You'll see green balloons and signs to guide you.

Food
All the mains will be supplied, but if you could bring a salad or dessert to share, plus your own cup, that would be great.

Protecting your health

BC Greens recognize that airborne illnesses and pollutants pose a significant health risk to everyone, especially the young, elderly, and immunocompromised, while caregivers, healthcare professionals, and support staff come into regular contact with vulnerable persons. When choosing venues, BC Greens prioritize outdoor spaces, and indoor spaces with good ventilation. In closed indoor spaces, we encourage attendees to wear well-fitting masks (N95, KN95, or KF94), especially during the respiratory-illness season.

Creating safe spaces

The BC Green Party is committed to providing an environment free of discrimination and harassment, where all individuals are treated with respect and dignity, can contribute fully and have equal speaking opportunities. To support this commitment, all event attendees will be expected to follow the standards of our Safe Spaces Participant's Guide.
