Wayne Froese nominated as B.C. Greens candidate in Chilliwack

March 06, 2017

CHILLIWACK B.C. – The B.C. Green Party is pleased to announce the nomination of its candidate for Chilliwack, Wayne Froese. Froese works in web design and online communications. He has also been dedicated to working on the Syrian Refugee Settlement campaign in Chilliwack.

“What started as a good fit for me - a party that prioritizes sustainability and democracy - became ideal in light of B.C. Green Party's focus in the 2017 Election on fiscal responsibility,” said Froese. “It's been my conviction for some time that B.C. needs a better plan that prioritizes prosperity for the long haul. That's sustainability and that's good governance, and I fully endorse the BCGP policy document. I particularly support its focus on Indigenous issues in key policy planks. This relationship is critical and is one that should be embraced.”

“Wayne cares deeply about his community and is exactly the type of person we need representing the interests of British Columbians in their legislature,” Andrew Weaver, leader of the B.C. Green Party, added. “His work supporting the settlement of Syrian refugees in Chilliwack is inspiring. Wayne’s entrepreneurial spirit and his compassion for others make him an exceptional candidate to represent the people of Chilliwack.”
