Tri-Cities

The Tri-Cities Regional Association encompasses the four provincial electoral districts in the cities of Port Moody, Coquitlam, Port Coquitlam, as well as the villages of Anmore and Belcarra; together serving over 150,000 registered voters.

Located in the northeast corner of the GVRD, our region has convenient commuter access to Vancouver as well as a diverse local economy. We enjoy our highly family-oriented communities and abundant natural wilderness, including Burnaby Mountain, Burrard Inlet, Indian Arm, Belcarra Park, Buntzen Lake, Burke Mountain, the Coquitlam River watershed, and Pitt Lake. Urban wildlife conflicts are not uncommon throughout the region, and conservation education is often prominently featured in our schools.

The Tri-Cities RA is committed to building on the historic gains seen in the 2017 provincial election by identifying and supporting local candidates. More importantly however, we believe that effective democracy requires constant engagement, not just asking people for their support on election day. So our work places a heavy emphasis on creating opportunities for people to have their voice heard, and championing important local or smaller initiatives that might otherwise get lost in the noise.
