The BC Green Party continues, year after year, to inspire political and personal leadership on environmental issues that are of critical importance to our health, economy and society. That is why this year’s Earth Day theme – “It’s Our Turn to Lead” – fits perfectly with the BC Green Party’s policies and mandate.
"Many people make the mistake that the environment is its own issue. It is not," said Adam Olsen, Interim Leader of the B.C. Green Party. "The environment is a crucial aspect of every issue that touches our province. You can't have a sustainable 21st century economy without respect for the environment; you can't have a healthy, educated community without respect for the environment; you can't have social justice without respect for the environment. It is urgent that we recognize just how significant the environment is to every issue confronting our society."
